Temperatures and Mirrors

For today's 2nd post...1 or 2 things for you all to do :)

1.  Post what temperature it was when you got up this morning (come close), as well as where you live (or in my case, where you got up!).

2.  IF YOU DO NOT have a picture of yourself up on the follower's list, or at least a graphic, please learn how to do that...so that everyone can see something about you...besides the generic picture that is up for many of you.  If you don't know how to do this, perhaps internet guru Kelli Lair can help :)

My answers to number one:

Fairfield Inn, Phoenix Airport is where I got up, and it was a bit over 50 degrees out, and hard to leave.  Sadly, we had to get up at 340am to get to the airport on time...not a good time to start the day :(

  1. And, hey, if you wondered about the mirrors...well, you see yourself everyday, but we all want to see your picture on here too!! (besides, it made a fun title for the post)

  3. Today I woke up and rolled out of my igloo into -17 celcius degree weather. Anyone know how the equation to convert into fahrenheit?

And yes, Minnesotans do ride Polar bears to school... just in case anyone was wondering.

  4. When my dog, Bella, and I took a walk around Green Lake this morning at 5:00 it was too dark to see the thermometer - but the moon and stars were brilliant! Later when we checked the temperature from my kindergarten classroom at 8:00 it was "5 Bee-grees past farenheit" - which was 2 degrees warmer than it was yesterday in case anyone is keeping track - the kindergarteners are!

  6. I live in Minnesota. It was waaaaaay below freezing today. I don't remember the temp this morning because it was morning, but it's 7:30 PM and WCCO says it's exactly zero right now. I think the low was -5 or something.

I'm suprised my family's polar bear started this morning. ;)

  12. This morning it was about 20 degrees and snow was falling. I shoveled twice today, once before and once after National Practice. I was glad Steve and Jordan were able to make it in spite of the weather (those Iowans are a hearty group). Great practice. We learned lots of fun stuff (which we will continue to work on)getting ready for exciting 2010 songs.

  16. Dee- I know how you feel. My school district will never give us a snow day. The buses will be getting stuck every which way and the streets won't be plowed and we STILL have school. I think the admin is sleeping late those days.

  31. My AP Bio teacher is making us learn old Greek and Latin (Well, not really, just prefixes, suffixes, and roots) because almost all of the assorted scientific words are composed of Greek and Latin. It actually really helps to be able to pick apart words like that.

Kelli-Some computers can be set so if you type [ and the letter it makes an accent. Mine used to, but then I had to wipe the hard drive and I haven't made it work again yet.

  32. Thanks Brenda and Sonja. I have lost some of the Spanish because I'm not taking it this year. I shall go study on my own!!!
